So hola, this is my website... the small space online where I've stuck my flag in the digital ground and claimed it as my own.
A whole lot's happened in the last couple of years. If you don't know me then a whole heap of things have happened over a fair few years - some interesting and some not so.
The interesting part...? In 2012 after returning from working as a journalist in Afghanistan, I said 'goodbye' to everyone I knew and loved and moved to Tijuana, Mexico, in pursuit of a Latin girl who I'd been emailing for the previous seven years (we met on 'MySpace').
A few months later, a random job offer saw me become a TV anchorman and show host in San Diego (no, seriously), and we so we moved to California.
Aforementioned girl became 'wife'; we held talks with John Travolta's older brother and his producer over a film script idea (no, really...); and we began to build a new life in a new world.
Unfortunately the US TV company I was working for went down after a year, and - as the visa was tied to the job - we somewhat reluctantly packed up and moved to England.
In May 2014 I re-joined my old newspaper - The Plymouth Herald - as its 'defence correspondent' (a post I held for years up until 2012) and news desk member.
Around 10 months later I left the paper again to move into PR.
I now work for The Royal British Legion as its Public Relations Officer (South), covering Lands End to Kent - including London.
Poacher turned gamekeeper.
My wife loves England. She hates the food, but she loves the Dartmoor ponies.
All the above and more is detailed in my blog:

And here's my background pre-2012...
Up until June 2012 I held the position of 'Maritime and Defence Correspondent' for The Herald - a major daily English newspaper in Plymouth, England.
Over the course of those 12+ years at The Herald I won numerous awards for my multi-media reporting including South West UK Daily Print Journalist of the Year for 2012.
This award came on the back of me being short-listed for the same title in both 2007, and 2008.
In 2010 I won The Royal British Legion's Friend of The Forces Award for the South West region, and went on to win the national President's Award where I was congratulated personally by HRH Prince Harry.
During my time as Defence Reporter, I reported from countries around the world including Afghanistan, Iraq, Brunei, Bahrain, Sierra Leone, Norway, France, Brazil, the US, and The Falkland Islands.
I pioneered the use of head camera technology for news reporting in West Africa and Central Asia, and experienced temperatures in excess of -42 degrees Celsius in the Arctic Circle and +50 degrees Celsius in the Middle East.
In 2011 I returned to Afghanistan's frontline for the third time to spend three months freelancing as an international broadcaster, photographer, cameraman, presenter and editor for The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS).
On my return to the UK I was awarded the Operational Service Medal (OSM) on behalf of Her Majesty, The Queen of England.
On arrival back in the UK I exhibited a series of unique frontline photographs in two major exhibitions - one of which toured the country.
Many of these award-winning images (as well as a variety of travel photographs) can be seen by clicking on the 'Photos' tab on this website.
Under the 'Press' tab above you will also see a collection of pdfs of newspaper and magazine pages illustrating the variety of stories I have covered in my career to date.
The newly-updated 'Videos' section also features two showreels, a variety of packages and 'lives' from my time with U-T TV and video packages from my time with BFBS in Afghanistan.
Also in the 'Photos' section is 'Model Behaviour' featuring a variety of photographs of me undertaking various catwalk and catalogue assignments in the UK and parts of Europe during my time as a model.
Oh, and there's a 'Tributes' section featuring nice things some nice people have said about me over the years.
Anyhow, like myself, this website is a work in progress, so please check back later for further updates and developments.
